The Jean Claude Duvalier affair is nearing its end. According to many sources, the former president has to present himself in court where some people, among them human rights activists, want him to face accusations of torturing and killing. However, the plaintiffs are the same who, in the mid 80s, plan to assassinate the former president, now back home after being in exile for almost 25 years.
What is now called the Duvalier affair is being largely set up by two or three former incarcerated people, some of them arrested with a lot of weapons while trying to have the former president shut down back to the eighties . They have been detained and released a few time later and allowed to stay in their country. The former president, even though he has to appear again in court, has already been cleaned by the French judicial authorities once in 2004 and some years earlier in 2001 by the supreme Haitian court.
Mr. Duvalier has a lot of following and is regarded by many as an likely alternative in the coming elections of 2016. His trial is welcome by opponents and competitive foes who wish to see him out of the political game, many affirm.

Having came to power when his father passed away in April 1971, Mr. Jean Claude Duvalier did his best to erase the bad memories of his father’s tenure. He is the most cherished president since these last four decades.
